Possibly you dont have the technical knowledge to evaluate all the attributes, and it's ok, you're a player and not an Quake 2's architect. However, just keep in mind the attributes and rate each map from 1 to 10).- Texture Work: Is the mix of textures harmonious? It looks good? The textures mix enhance the map?
- Originality: Is an original idea? The architecture is original? Have new textures? Have new sounds?
- Game Play: It's fun to play the map? It's accessible for everyone? It's for all skill levels?
- Weapon/H. Layout: It's balanced the location of weapons, ammo and items?
- Extras: Has the map elevators? Buttons? Space Ships flying? special effects whatsoever? Etc.
- Lighting: Is the lighting harmonious? It looks good? The lighting enhance the map? It helps the game play?
- Sounds: Is the sound harmonious? It sounds good? The sound enhance the map? The sound contributes to the atmosphere of the map?
- Connectivity It's easy to find other players? There is a quick connection between the various parts of the map?
- Technical
- Subjective Regardless of everything else, how much you like the map?

Comment about Margaal "OtherWorld" map by Peep5 : "pepp5: looks great, plays poorly", "nice looking, nice layout, not as good for fighting", "it got tiny bit better when I figured out how to get up high", about Margaal's DarkCity: "I can't locate weapons". ...I would also like to add some text about each of the maps. spirit2dm7:The map is nothing new, we have seen it before, but it looks great. I love the side scene, much work seems to be put into it. Really gives the map the right feeling. There are also some small details, like the open crate and the moving piece on the pipe. Not too many textures, but it works. I feel there could be another trim texture, instead of overusing the tile. Also put some more time into defining the different areas of the map for easier navigation. Right now it all looks the same. Adding another texture or additional geometry could have solved this. Ladders, teleporters, jump pads, water. They are all inside. It might not be optimal for such a small map. Jump pad users are predictable targets and makes noise. Also, it feels awkward to use jump pads for shorter travels. Lighting could have been better. I received damage from the cactus even though I was far from it? Evil thing! Gameplay wise I liked this map the best. margaal11:I didn't like the map. A maze. Poor textures. margaal12:Nice rock work. Some areas were really blocky and could have used much more time. There were geometry which I didn't like or made little sense. I tried pushing buttons, but nothing happened. So I guess I failed to understand. I think there should have been more of a focus around the theme itself, removing some of the humanoid structures. The lighting was okey. Could have been better in some areas to create the right mood. I like the difference in colors. Nice sounds. margaal13:Felt like a complete different mapmaker? This map was made with love and attention. Even though I feel its way too small in places, the overall feel of this map is awesome. There were some interesting design choices. Like shoot open doors and also the narrow spaces creates a different gameplay, more sneak. The sounds add to the atmosphere. Good work! margaal14:Doesn't feel like a city. More like an abandoned industrial area. Much more time should have been spent making it into a city. The player area is way too large. The map lacks landmarks and difference. I had difficulty navigating the map in the beginning. The r_speeds values are terrible.. marics109:Nice epic map. Visually very nice. Too much red in the map. I feel the sun light could have been redish, while the buildings interior and exterior could have used a different color. The lighting, right now, feels a bit off. I like the sky texture and the red liquid, but maybe be use a different texture for the liquid or have it give damage. It's always nice with a risk/reward kind of gameplay. Could been easier to get out of the liquid also. I got stuck a lot while navigating the interiors. The low ceiling makes you crash into it often. There were some nice clipping for player ergonomics, I like that. But also a tiny error due to this, where I could stand in air. Nice atmosphere through sounds. marics110:The texture choice for this map is terrible. The powerup and jump pad textures don't look too good. Nice terrain work. I like the speed that I could get thanks to the open and wide spaces. Nice brushwork. Geometry could have been less repeatitive in places. I like the layout. Nice atmosphere through sounds. I might have been a bit hard on the scoring for this map. marics111:As usual with marics, great terrain work. Awesome job with brushwork and textures. The map could use some more colors, feels very grey now and that doesn't excite me. Neat teleport system. Doors and barrels are waaay oversized. There are no sounds, making it lack a bit in atmosphere. There is no real "city" feel to the map. More of a castle to me. The r_speeds values are terrible. I might have been a bit too generous about the scoring for this one, hehe. Well done, good job! And to everyone in this contest, awesome job!

Trying to get back to checking up on things daily. Still not there yet though. Will try to not miss out on future Café stuff, love that community and forum.
