1) Beach and sun.Suggestions: Maybe a Miami boulevard, an avenue with palms. A sunny beach with sun umbrellas in the coast. The sea well combined with the env. A beach hotel (in fact there is only one map of a hotel on the beach made for AQ2 but the stage it's at night. Beach.bsp) A tourist complex with swimming pools and palms near the beach. 2) Other times but not medieval, nor Egyptian nor pirates age: Maybe the year 1940 ( taking 1940 as example) Architecture of the 40's. Times of black and white photographs. ¿The Godfather times? Maybe the times of the alcohol prohibition, understood as the prohibition of liquor, ruled in the United States between 1919 and 1933. Perhaps an ancient stage with large prehistoric dinosaur skeleton. 4) Non tropical mountain forest landscapes with open views to the mountains and permafrost in the distant mountaintops. Paths between the trees. But with daylight an in summer. Maybe a river, a lake a cascade. Glaciers. There are a few maps like that for example: lavatube.bsp 4a An ski resort. Ski center in the mountains. I just saw one with stairlifts in Aq2. 5) Enchanted Forest. (I only saw Witches.bsp) You can correct me or follow with the list.

Some nice ideas. But creating large open outside areas is hard in Quake 2 because you often can't hint them properly which means very high r_speeds or a very low detail landscape. Of course one could do it in a clever way to avoid or at least reduce the impact of these problems.

What about a giant car, and you playing inside of it? I imagine a huge motor, or.. maybe the seats and windshield, and some effect by the windows simulating the car movement, maybe also a road in the front running under the car structure. Just an idea.
